Good News Friday: Donald Trump Helps Out Ed McMahon!

I was quite happy to read on Yahoo News, that mega-gazillionaire Donald Trump is in talks with the Ed McMahon camp to buy his home, and let him live in it.
As you may have recently read, Ed McMahon was in foreclosure status on his $7 million dollar Beverly Hills home, when Trump came a knocking.
Trump says in Yahoo article, he decided to help Ed out, as a measure of compassion. Trump states he is a fan, and use to watch (McMahon) every night back when he was in business school. He goes on to state, “How could this happen?”
Trump will essentially become the property owner, and McMahon will be allowed to reside in the home, he’s had since 1990.

What a great story! Of course, Trump will profit when he eventually sells the property, and he benefits immediately from the positive publicity, but it’s still a great thing for him to do. It’s a win for everyone.
Bill Gates could have done the same thing, but he’s not a marketer/promoter like Trump is. It takes someone like that to see the angle and make it work.

Whether Trump profits from the sale at the end is inconsequential, as it still is/was a compassionate move.
Trump is a developer so no doubt he stands to make a profit on the property, that is what he does.
I’m glad he stepped in, as he didn’t have to. I don’t know how is it that McMahon ended up in the foreclosure situation, but hopefully now he can live out his last years in comfort.
