I sure hell would not get one like that :) But it’s kinda cool, cause it does what a tattoo should do from my point of view, tell a story. Ink should last forever and shouldn’t be treated like a fashion.

Jules: It could be crazier. He could have gotten a Feedburner tattoo or Pownce. LoL.

Smash Ill: The wordpress tattoo is pretty unique. I’ve not seen anything like it before or since. So i give Ed props for coming up with that design. As long WP sticks around, it wont be a mistake.

Heck. It CAN be removed or changed in the future. So not all is lost.

  3. Better hope WordPress sticks around a while.

I don’t think it matters if Wordpress is around or not… (it is impossible that it won’t be around) I can say personally that my discovery, and developing relationship with Wordpress, is singlehandedly responsible for me being able to quit my job several months back and make $1000 for around 20 hours of work (just happened yesterday!) so now that I think about it, getting a WP tattoo (definitely one that looks better than Ed’s) is not a bad idea at all…

Why not pay homage to life changing piece of kick ass coding?!?

  5. Missy says:

Hey, Elijah: Yes it is awesome how this one service has created livelihood for so many. I’m sure there are many wordpress theme designers, wordpress plugin developers, and so on who are making a killing off of Wordpress. Not too mention the countless bloggers who use it and make a living off their blogs, etc.

Wordpress is what i use for my flips, my blogs and my online business ventures, so i’m not far behind in the income dept. Suweet piece of kick ass coding is right. Heck let’s all get Wordpress tattoos. Lol.

God bless Mr. Matt. (the founder of wp)

  9. Missy says:

Dude, you can get yourself a tattoo with Jake CPUNut.com on it and sport a wacky combo of nuts and a cpu. Brill. lol. Am checking out your blog now. Looks good. Hit you up later.

  10. Jake says:

  12. Pat G says:

No, I wouldn’t get a tattoo. I may not stand the pain. :)

Congrats Missy on your latest sale.

    Pat

  13. Missy says:

Hehe. Depending on where you get the tattoo, it may not be that painful. The forearm? Yeah, might be abit on the wriggly side. Thanxs for the congrats on my latest. Cheers!

  14. Well, it does say something about our times and how integrated the internet is to our lives. I think it will probably be somewhat historical unless things change tremendously over the next 10 years and the internet somehow goes out of style like a fashion phase. It’s just something to think about. Never thought somebody would get a website tatoo of a site that’s not their own. But, maybe he has a blog with wordpress and maybe he has a strong connection to it. I guess I’d like to read an interview where he says why he chose it.
