To make the most of Twitter, you need followers. How many is debatable, but the more you have the more fun the blue bird can be.

But what i want to know is – which twitter directory do you go to when you want to add followers? Is it Twellow, We Follow, a location based directory such as Local Tweeps, an interest (or category) based directory such as Twubble, a business directory such as Twibs, or do you simply use the trusty and up to the minute Twitter Search.
Please take a minute to let me know in the poll below. If you’re fave is not listed, vote other – and just mention it in the comments area.
Not on Twitter, yet? Grab a copy of my Twitter Guide, it includes a Q&A section and a list of super cool Twitter tools, apps, and resources.

I quite like Twellow – as it has loads of search options. And it’s been around awhile – so it has alot of members on it.
All of the twitter directory are good but i use We follow.i love to work on twitter.
Hi, Andrew:
I also use Twitter Search, to find peeps. It’s great – because it serves up instants results and because it is quite accurate. (usually)

I’m not even using one twitter directory
I simply use twitter to interact with people who I am either interested in, or whose websites I frequent. I am not a fan of mass adding peeps
Hi, Smash: I hear you there. I just found out about Twitterator – which is an app for mass adding peeps. But aside from that – it does have the neat feature of copying and pasting a long list of twitter usernames so that one can add as followers. Assuming you’re being selective (and not adding too many) – this is a useful app.

I’ll tell you one thing – i don’t do the auto follow thing. Auto follow (IMHO) is the fastest way to gain bad followers.
On another note – do you guys celebrate Easter in your part of the world?
Sure as it is the old world where your traditions come from as well
I would say 66% Twellow 34% Twitter Search. I also refer to Mr Tweet.
Im not familiar with any twitter directory and so Im glad I came here in your post.
Hi, Michael: You’re right Mr Tweet is pretty cool. I like how it tells you who you’re NOT following, as throughout the week some peeps fall through the cracks for me. This is good to do once a week or so and see who needs to be followed back.
Thanxs for coming by!
Hey, Melvin: Have you been hiding under a rock? Just teasing. Yes there are quite a few Twitter directories now, and it seems new ones pop up daily. It’s getting hard to keep up with them and all the new fabulous Twitter apps.
Hope all is well with Melvin. Peace, Missy
I hardly ever use Twitter so it’s no wonder that I don’t know of any of these directories – better get back into it and check some out.
I just use the twitter search engine
It’s the simplest and easiest way to find people who are tweeting about stuff I’m interested in.
Hi, SD: Twitter Search is quite comprehensive – lots of options on what, when, and where to search. I use it all the time. Definitely a must in the arsenal of Twitter search tools.
Thx for your visit!
