Domain Registration

Namecheap – Easy no fuss domain registrar. Dot com registrations start at under $10 for one year, and usually you can save about a dollar by using a promo code. Feel free to send me a note if you need a discount code or you can always Google it. (i.e. namecheap coupon code)

All my domain names are registered at NC as this is my personal registrar for over 2 years. Why? They have an easy as pie interface and great prices. Plus they offer the following services for free with each domain purchase:

  • free WhoIs (private contact info)
  • free URL forwarding
  • free push to other users (great for site flipping)
  • and more

Site/Blog Hosting

Hostgator – This is the blog host I use and most recommend. It features cPanel and Fantastico, which makes for easy one-click WordPress installs. They cost $10.95 a month and have no set-up fee.

Another reason I highly recommend you sign up with Hostagor for your WordPress blog sites, is they have great 24/7 customer support.

Super Green Hosting – If you’re looking for an inexpensive eco friendly webhost, then try SGH.  They charge $7.95 on the monthly plan or you can buy a years worth of hosting for less than $75.

You get the following free features with their plan:

  • free domain for life
  • free acct set-up (on the annual plan)
  • free activation
  • 1-click installs (such as WordPress)

I’ll be sure to update this list, as I come across more killer resources for you.
