Entrecard.com Up For Sale, Starting Bid $100,000
Sep 25th
Have $100,000 lying around? That is the minimum bid to buy Entrecard.com. I just noticed the listing on Sitepoint. I’m not sure why Graham (the founder) is selling, but it will cause BUZZ in the blog-o-sphere for sure.
Why Is Graham Selling Entrecard? (read his own words below)
I am selling because I have come to a stalemate. Entrecard is growing fast, but I do not have the resources to put behind it. I recently met extensively with Venture Capitalists who were going to make a 700k seed investment and a 2-5m follow on Series A investment in 6 months. The deal fell through in the 11th hour, right before the terms sheet, because they lost faith in my ability to execute the plan after a series of tests in which I did not know I was being tested. The valuation we were discussing was 8 million. We were going to open a headquarters, hire 10 people, and go straight to the top. Then it fell apart, and after getting my hopes up, I just haven’t been able to get back on my feet. I’m a wreck and feeling like a failure to come so close only to drop it due to my idiocy.
Sitepoint Listing Snapshot
Around since November 2007, Entrecard is quite popular with many bloggers. It has lost some steam in the last few months, but it is still a formidable property.
It averages over 3 million page views monthly, no small feat. This will be an interesting sale for sure. You can go to the Sitepoint listing, subscribe to updates, and follow along. I’m as curious as you, to see what it will fetch.
The Free Domain Name Winner Is….
Aug 13th
I received some really good entries for my blog slogan contest, and it came down to two entries. I had a hard time deciding, as i found the two funny and clever.
Winner Is
But there can only be one winner, and one slogan on the blog. So without further ado, the winner of a free domain name or 500 EC Credits is……Scott.
His entry was “G34 Media – A Potpourri of Bloggosity”. i quite like this one. The second runner up was, Cowboy Tim with “G34 Media – Devastatingly Engaging”.
Claim Your Prize
Winner has two days to claim his/her prize. Send me an email or contact me here through the blog. Thanxs to everyone who participated, and hope it was as fun for you, as it was for me.
Congrats to Scott!

What Will I Win?
How about 500 EC Credits ($10 value), OR a free domain name from Namecheap ($10 value). Your choice.

Enough self talk, please tell me what to add as a slogan for this blog.
EntreCard Now Allows Multiple Blogs
May 19th
Received an email this morning on changes going on at Entrecard. It looks like Graham, the founder, is hard at work making Entrecard ever more useful to bloggers. He states through the email that one of the big changes is that bloggers can now add several blogs to their account, and or link several accounts to just one.
Below is a screenshot that shows the new field in the dashboard, where bloggers can now add additional blogs they have to EC. The frontpage gets a makeover, and there is a new eBook out, which explains Entrecard in good detail for newbies.
Graham discusses the changes, and a cool EC credits contest on the blog.
Good luck in winning the 15,000 EC credits.
